Brownwood News – The new Aspen Dental office at 507 W. Commerce Street brings expanded dental care access to the Brownwood community. The office opens on Thursday, June 21st.The new practice offers extended hours: Monday through Wednesday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; Thursday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Friday, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. as well as select Saturdays. Walk-in and emergency patients are welcome.

Brownwood News – Thanks to a $188,706 grant from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board Ranger College can now offer its nursing students the same learning experiences as other schools in its service area.

“We are now going to be able to offer competitive scenarios that the other bigger schools offer,” said Ranger College Dean of Nursing Carolyn Zapata.

The grant will enable Ranger to build a nursing simulation lab at its Brown County Campus.

Braving the cold, several leaders in the Brownwood community gathered to attend a groundbreaking ceremony for Hendrick Health System’s new medical office building at 10 a.m. on January 18th. Hendrick Medical Plaza will be located adjacent to Hendrick Surgery Center.

An ambulance simulator for Texas State Technical College’s Brownwood campus, which will be bought with a $50,000 training grant from the Brownwood Municipal Development District, will be a major part of the projected growth of the college’s EMS program, TSTC provost Rick Denbow told Brownwood City Council members.
